Clowns Without Borders

is an international organization that sends shows and workshops to bring hope to people who have been effected by war, natural disasters and extreme poverty. They have sent hundreds of performing groups to war zones all over the world. Their slogan: No Child Without a Smile! Clowns Without Borders was originally founded in Spain by Tortell Poltrona and the USA chapter was founded by Moshe Cohern.

As of 2010 I have participated in 8 Clowns Without Borders projects in Chiapas, Guatemala, South Africa, and Haiti all of which have been extraordiary experiences. Most of those trips I led and organized. I initiated and still co-organize the very succesful yearly Portland Clowns Without Borders fundraiser shows, 2010 was our 11th year, and I also serve on the board of Clowns Without Borders USA.
