With CWB in Martissant, Port au Prince, Haiti. A shantytown with some 500,000 people!

Clowns Without Borders

is an international organization that sends shows and workshops to bring hope to people who have been effected by war, natural disasters and extreme poverty. Clowns Without Borders has sent hundreds of performing groups to communities in greatest need all over the world. Their slogan: No Child Without a Smile! Clowns Without Borders was originally founded in Spain by Tortell Poltrona and the USA chapter was founded by Moshe Cohen.

I have participated in 9 Clowns Without Borders projects in Chiapas, Guatemala, South Africa, Palestine, and Haiti all of which have been extraordinary experiences. Many of these I organized, led, and fundraised. I initiated and still co-organize the very successful yearly Portland Clowns Without Borders fundraiser shows, 2012 was our 13th year, and I am currently President of the board of Clowns Without Borders USA.
