Leapin' Louie's Reading Shows are Fun!
Leapin' Louie shows feature high energy comedy with cowboy and juggling stunts that really get the kids excited. Just in the last two years Leapin' Louie was flown to festivals in South Africa, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Northern Ireland, New Zealand, and all over the US. Leapin'Louie shows are more fun and exciting then about any other reading show in the Northwest. The show features cowboy rope tricks, juggling, puppetry, magic, riding a six-foot unicycle, and lots of bringing kids on stage.
Leapin' Louie makes kids love books!
Taking advantage of his elementary school teacher's certification and masters level courses in children's literature, Louie's reading encouragement messages and children's literature content are strong and central to the show. In the show Louie shows and talks about a dozen high quality children's titles.The secondary theme of the show, especially emphasized in schools is: Don't be afraid of making mistakes, that's how you learn!
2010 Update
No new Leapin' Louie reading show in a few years, too busy on the International Festival circuit -- but--
Definitely still performing Leapin'Louie greatest hits reading shows, most of the material comes from the 2001 all cowboy "Read a Wild Tale" show and the 2004 "Secret Knowledge" show. Many principals and librarians remember Louie's version of the Secret Knowledge of Grown-ups by David Wizniewski or his roping to the Shel Silverstein's "A true story" or the snake magic trick or--??.

The show lasts fifty minutes.
Louie brings a small sound system (if necessary) and everything else needed. The show needs a performing space of 7 ft wide by 9 ft long. Larger performing areas are better but I am used to performing in small places.
